Strategically planning busy locations

Retail real estate is dependent on the people that visit it, so location is a key ingredient of any shopping centre's success. We consider every factor that contributes to guiding streams of visitors to the shopping centres and achieving optimal footfall. In doing so, a great deal of importance is attached to the interplay between the centre and its urban surroundings. Pathways, roads and architecture are carefully coordinated with one another and optimal use is made of the urban layout and transport connections.

The mix of businesses within the shopping centre is also strategically planned in order to attract and guide passers-by. I am sure that the new StadtGalerie linking the train station, new bus station and pedestrian zone will make Witten city centre even more attractive. The larger mix of sectors and the interplay between retailers and gastronomy establishments will especially contribute to ensuring that the spending power of Witten residents increasingly remains in Witten.
